5 Easy DIY All-Natural Face Mask Recipes

Skincare is essential in achieving your skincare goals no matter what concerns you have. Face masks can be the perfect step to an everyday selfcare routine or to help you achieve that healthy glow before a big day. Here are some face mask recipes I have loved over the past few years and you can give a try based on your common skin type concerns:

1. Face Mask for Blackheads
1 egg white
1 Tsp lemon juice

This mask repels blackheads from pores while prevent more from occuring. After allowing the egg white to become dry, you will be able to carefully peel the mask to remove blackheads and leave pores tightened. The lemon juice works a natural astrigent to remove dead skin cell along with blackheads and cleanses pores to prevent future blackheads from developing.
2. Face Mask for Glowing, Youthful Skin
2 Tbsp Yogurt
2 Tsp Lemon Juice

Yogurt contains alpha hydroxy acid which removes dead skin cells from the surface of your face. This gentle form of exfoliation immediately allows for your natural glow to be revealed all while preventing future breakouts. Yogurt is also a natural treatment for wrinkles and fine lines as it works to renew skin leaving it softened and appearing more youthful.
3. Face Mask for Acne Prone Skin
2 Tbsp Aloe Vera
1 Tsp Rose Water
2 Tsp Honey

Aloe Vera is known for its healing properties as it contains antioxidants, enzymes, vitamin A and C, it  boost blood flow, kills bacteria, and is highly anti-inflammatory. Raw honey has been found to reduce inflammation associated with acne as it draws out extra fluid near the skins surface. Rose water also treats infections, contains antioxidants, heals skin, soothes skin irritation, and reduces redness.
4. Face Mask for Bright, Clear Skin
2 Tsp Honey
1 Tsp Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is an antioxidant high in Vitamin C which offers the benefits of effectively treating dark spots, acne damage and freckles. Honey's exfoliating properties removes dead skin cells and allows for skin to appear brighter, including the lightening of dark spots.
5. Face Mask for Oily Skin
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Aloe Vera Gel

Baking soda is alkaline which allows for it to gather sebum (natural oil) on the face and absorbs excess oils. Lemon is a citric fruit which contains astringent properties that aid in the absorbtion of excess oils.
